I am a huge fan of AI. I use it daily. It is a brilliant, lightning-fast extension of the human mind. It can summarize a library in seconds and spark ideas I hadn't considered.

But AI is a mirror, not a source.

Lately, we’ve become obsessed with all the 'shiny toys.'  We’re cloning our voices, putting our faces on butterflies, and saying, 'Look what I made.'

But you didn't make it. You prompted it.

The danger isn't the technology; it’s the disconnection. It’s the vacationing family in Belize staring at 6 phone screens instead of the beauty around them. I saw that every day, living in Belize.    It’s the recruiter staring at an 'AI Score' instead of the person who survived a 20-year career.

At Trace Solutions, I use AI to clear the path, but I never let it lead the way.  We use it to cut through the noise so the Human Signal can finally be heard. I believe AI is the 'Engine,' but the human is the 'Map, the Driver, and the Destination.'  We desperately need our humanness in the mix.

Trace Solutions isn't just a business for me; it is my 'Pentimento.'  Like pentimento, the subtle, unseen painters' lines showing through a final masterpiece.

After a decade in Belize—where I built a life, a home, and a rescue—I lost everything to a scam that has forced me to start over at a time when the world expects you to slow down. I’ve lived through the agony of isolation and the frustration of a job market that looks at a resume like a data set rather than a life story.

I realized that the 50+ community is the most resilient workforce on the planet. We have survived the hard calls, the losses, and the 'impossible' situations. We don't need a better algorithm; we need a better advocate.

I founded Trace Solutions to be that advocate. We are replacing the 'black hole' of AI applications with human vetting, transparency, and the radical honesty that only comes with experience. I am currently moving this mission to Corona Panama, to ensure that the human element remains the heart of hiring.
