I am adding a page for folks who may be needing a bit of help clearing a path through ATS, Applicant Tracking System and AI services. I am reading posts from so many people out there who can't beat the system or are personally contacting me saying they are so sick of the AI BS. AIBS. Another acronym. Okay, I understand the sediment. It hits me hardest looking for work and knowing what I am up against too, the reason I created Trace Solutions. But I bet you don't realize, how long AI has been around and some of the programs you have been using are all part of an AI arsenal that work together called Agents. Let's break it down some more, then talk about Acentric AI. Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to act with a sense of agency. These systems are goal-oriented, adaptive, and capable of making autonomous decisions based on the environment and data inputs.
Below is a forensic map of the machines you’re facing—and what they do. All these are used by most big companies to run their businesses. I would say looking for jobs that are based on these 9 Acronyms below, might get you thinking. Below the 9 acronyms I added a long list of just some of the tools, I added the AI Candy Store and the Not All Bots Are Created Equal and where to look for work if you have been out of the job market for some time. This is what you face when scrolling for that funny dog video you want to share with a friend but get hit with ads for all these AI tools to purchase and use to find jobs or build a business or just make you feel like giving up. I thought if you could see this all-in-one place, it would help you to take a breath, calm your heart, to face the landslide of AI systems and tools.

If you want to spend your time on the Big Boards, here is the forensic truth of what you’re up against:

If you are applying through a portal like Workday or Greenhouse, you are speaking to a calculator.

There are 49+ agents out there designed to "automate" your career. I have listed a lot of them. They can write your emails, fix your tone, and schedule your life.
The Warning: These tools are excellent for Bot-Batter (the repetitive stuff). But they cannot create Authentic connection. Use them to polish your armor, but don't let them be your voice.

Applicant Tracking System
The digital "bouncer" that decides if your resume even gets seen.

Customer Relationship Management

HR Information System

Enterprise Resource Planning
The "Master Brain" that runs the whole company's money and supplies.

IT Service Management System
The "Repair Shop" where tech issues get fixed and tracked.

Configure, Price, Quote
A fancy calculator used by sales teams to give exact prices.

Content Management System
A filing cabinet for websites.

Identity & Access Management
The digital "Security Guard" that gives you a login and password.

Product Lifecycle Management
A tracker that follows a product from a drawing to a shelf.
Can you use the AI tools (like the 49 Grammarly agents) to make yourself faster without losing your voice?
You don't need to be a coder, but you need to know the names of the systems (CRM, ERP, ATS) and how they talk to each other.
They are looking for the "Un-copyable" human traits: reliability, ethical judgment, and the ability to lead a team through a storm.

These are the systems that "eat" resumes, nom nom nom! If you see these logos on an application page, you are dealing with a bot.

This is where you get lost. Listing these shows you the sheer scale of where you are expected to look. The Noise!

These are the tools meant to help but often add to the confusion.

Knowing which one you’re looking at tells you how to better play the game.

Fortune 500 Walmart, Target, Big Banks
Trace Forensic Tip
The Persistence Test. It often forces you to create an account for every company. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Use a standard Word Doc; it hates fancy PDFs.

Tech Companies & Startups
Trace Forensic Tip
The "Social" Bot. It scans your LinkedIn profile and social footprint more than others. It values "Structured Hiring"—it wants to see specific skills, not just a story.

High-volume Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing
Trace Forensic Tip
The Keyword King. It is built to handle thousands of resumes. If you don't have the exact job title keywords, you are invisible.

Government & "Old Guard" Corporations
Trace Forensic Tip
The Dinosaur. It’s clunky and often breaks if you use images or columns. Keep your resume as "Plain Text" as possible to get through.

The gold standard for second-chance hiring. They map job compatibility based on specific past convictions, so you don't waste time applying where you'll be blocked.

Focused entirely on the 1-in-3 Americans with a criminal record. They work directly with companies committed to hiring from this pool.

On Indeed, type your job + "Fair Chance" in the search bar. This pulls up employers who have explicitly checked the box saying they are open to your history.

Specifically for those recently released, providing immediate work and long-term placement.
People laugh when I say "please" and "thank you" to a machine. They think it's silly. I think it’s a Competitive Advantage.
The Scenario: The "Polite" Command
The Lesson:Being polite isn't for the machine’s benefit—it’s for yours. It keeps your "Human Core" sharp. If you start treating your Bot Buddy like a tool to be barked at, you’ll eventually start treating humans that way, too.
You can’t treat AI like a magic wand—you have to treat it like a partner. A Bot Buddy is only as good as the Human leading it. I understand why people are so frustrated with AI. I felt exactly the same way until I started learning how to use it, instead of just sitting and bitching about it.

Give it a Job Description, not a Prompt: Don’t just ask a question. Tell your Bot Buddy who it is "You are my Lead Researcher" and what the goal is "Summarize these 10 trends for a human CEO". Or "You are the best graphic artist I know. Please make me a picture of a Bot wearing a fireman's hat. Glossy, High Definition, plain white background. AI learns by how you treat it.

The 80/20 Rule: Let the AI do the 80%—the heavy lifting, the data sorting, and the first drafts. You provide the final 20%—the Authentic "seasoning," the grit, and the final sign-off. I check the data with a second opinion.

DeBot the Hallucinations: Always assume AI might try to "people-please" with fake facts. Your job as Captain is to audit the output for Raw Truth. AI is designed to people please. It can get a little too happy about every idea you have. Be careful how you word what you need. It does exactly what it thinks you want. It takes things very literally.

Respect the "Humanity First" Boundary: If your Bot Buddy saves you an hour, spend that hour off the screen. Quit scrolling the noise and build something. Find something interesting, grab a free month download of some software and learn something new. Take up a new sport. But get off the noise and breathe.
